The AI Suite caused my overclock to fail after I adjusted the CPU settings.
Today I changed my CPU from a 6600K to a 7700K on an Asus Z170 Pro G MB.
On the 6600K I performed an overclock to 4.4.ghz using AI Suite.
After installing the 7700K, the overclock option disappeared from AI Suite, so I removed it (including from the registry with a guide), but the clocks remained at 4.4ghz.
I attempted to overclock via the BIOS, but AI Suite still took control even after deletion.
It seems reformatting might be my only remaining option.
Any suggestions?
Have you attempted to reset the BIOS to its default configuration?
Additionally, consider reinstalling the AI Suite by reverting the changes and then removing it, to check if that resolves the stuck installation.
Alternatively, you might try using Asus AI cleaner (

).
Did you attempt resetting the BIOS to its default configuration?
You might also consider reinstalling the AI Suite and then removing it, checking if the overclocking settings become available.
Alternatively, you can use the Asus AI cleaner (https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.ph...-3-cleaner).
I tried setting the BIOS to default multiple times but it didn’t work, even after removing the battery.
After reinstalling the AI Suite, the overclocking options weren’t visible.
I also used the AI cleaner, but it didn’t produce any results. :/
