The Acer monitor is displaying unusual backlight behavior.
Model number: XZ322QUV3
I purchased a 1440p, 144Hz IPS monitor from Walmart (refurbished by Acer) at the end of December/early January. After opening it and connecting it via the display port to my 4070 Super, it looks great compared to my old 1080p 60Hz VA panel. However, after a few minutes, the top 1-2 inches dim to almost invisible levels. Turning brightness up makes those spots about half as bright, but I think it’s just light bleeding from elsewhere. Is this a backlight or panel problem? How much would fixing it cost, especially since it’s a curved screen? (No warranty.) It’s been a bit disappointing—looked amazing at first but failed after just a couple of minutes. I’ve tried drivers, unplugging and replugging, adjusting settings, etc., but brightness still isn’t enough. I’ve also posted about this in the general discussion twice now.
Moved your post to the Troubleshooting section. Please share a photo of the entire monitor, highlighting the backlight area if possible. It seems the backlight might be faulty, but a visual aid would help. Include several images: one with a completely black screen and another with a fully white screen.
