I just purchased a Lexar kit (LD5BU016G-R6000GDLA), which appears to be a Hynix M die on a reference board. It isn’t listed in my QVL yet, but I’m willing to give it a shot. According to its EXPO profile, it offers marginally better timing compared to my Corsair modules even at a 0.05-volt difference.
You mentioned several points about potential problems with Corsair products on AM5. It seems those concerns are mostly based on limited reports and BIOS variations. I haven’t found solid proof of the issue, though some users have noted compatibility challenges. There’s also discussion around Micron ICs and older XMP settings, but overall it doesn’t appear to be a widespread problem. I wouldn’t recommend Corsair RAM for AM5 unless you’re using the latest BIOS updates.
For me, 6000 30-36-36-76 is unique because I only encounter XMP 3.0 type kits with those settings. The EXPO kits match what I own, 36-36-36-76. I think some users have successfully used them, but if your BSODs suggest memory problems, it might be due to mismatches between your CPU memory controllers and the kit, possibly involving your motherboard's implementation of the timings.
I agree with that too, but it's definitely EXPO RAM. The really strange part is that anything I change in the BIOS affects me—like when I tweaked the fan curves and saved them, the system still works most of the time. Now I just changed the fan curves again, saved the settings, and it started failing once more! It seems ASUS only uses standard timings with the optimized defaults, and after saving the BIOS again, it starts messing with things it should be automatic.
Yeah, the problems I mentioned wouldn't be tied to any particular Corsair model. The Micron 24Gb B die, which has had some reliability concerns with Ryzen, can show up on any kit from any maker if it fits the right speed range—like a 5600 CL40. Corsair mainly uses it, and with a solid speed tier such as 6000 CL30 you wouldn't encounter issues. XMP support was tricky early on, especially with kits released during the AM5 launch, but since those BIOS versions came after AGESA 1.0.0.7b, it's now fine. The PCB concern isn’t a guaranteed problem either, because G.Skill (the one most people trust) uses their own custom boards.
