Hello, I'm looking for information about the 7950X3D cores with extra cache. You mentioned it has three times the cache on one CCX and higher clock speeds on another. You're interested in using cpusets to allocate high-cache cores exclusively for games while keeping the rest of the system running smoothly. Do you know which cores have the extra cache, or is there a tool that can help you check this?

CCD 1 features the X3D cache, meaning you must turn off CCD 2 if you're playing games.

That would align with core 0-15 using the 3D cache, while excluding it for 16-31.

Turn off the CCD for gaming? The value of the 7950X3D is questionable. Consider keeping it stock or opt for a 7800X3D instead. Disable the CCD unless absolutely necessary. Test performance with and without it. Review these benchmarks (1080p and 1440p) and notice that disabling the second CCD significantly reduces overall core speed, only boosting gameplay by a few percent. It’s not worth the trade-off.

I won’t turn off the CCDs. I clarified my plan in the original comment. I’ll make the scheduler always allocate high cache cores to games and high clock cores to the rest of the system, allowing smooth multitasking without slowing performance. Sometimes I need to extend compilation times from half an hour to an hour, so I want to play while waiting. To lower CCD crosstalk and let games use the cores they need best, the extra-cache CCD will handle gameplay, while other cores focus on compiling.
