Hello, I'm trying to choose between the Gigabyte Z690 UD AX and the MSI Pro Z690-A WIFI for my next build. I'm torn because the Gigabyte has a max RAM speed of 6000 MHz while the MSI can reach up to 6400 MHz. Right now those speeds seem costly, but I think prices might drop soon, so upgrading RAM could be feasible later. I wonder if I might run into issues when trying to add faster RAM in the future, or if there are good options with low timings at 6000 MHz. Please let me know if you can help! Thank you!
It seems the focus will likely shift toward the IMC for the CPU versus the motherboard. I don’t expect today’s CPUs to be overly reliable given the upcoming second-gen DDR5.
