it’s typical for your system to run around 23% and 33% with just Firefox open. since your storage is mostly free (16GB), it’s likely the operating system is consuming most of the space. you should use a tool to identify which applications are using memory and spot any that seem excessive.

It varies based on the number of tabs active. Browsers can consume a lot of memory, but with just two tabs running in Firefox, it uses around 1 GB.

I've been relying on Task Manager. Firefox seems to consume around 1.20GB of memory even when just five tabs are active.

Sounds about right, with the rest likely taken by Windows. Are you facing situations where RAM is running low? If yes, an additional 8 GB of 2133 MHz should be affordable.

Sure, gaming can really drain the RAM quickly. I've been considering upgrading to double the amount of memory.

It would be a solid choice. DDR4 modules are affordable these days. Are you asking about the 2x4 configuration?

when your device is not in use, windows can make good use of more than 4 gigabytes of memory, since leaving it idle wastes capacity. if memory becomes necessary, it will replace it.
