I purchased a Huawei 4G router (B311s-220) but it isn’t detecting my SIM card. They said my SIM network uses band 28, yet the router can’t handle that frequency. Is there any firmware update or workaround that could let the router read band 28 networks?

Install the app on your phone and see which LTE band is available. (I prefer using "CellMapper". No unnecessary features.) Carriers often use various bands depending on the situation, so claiming a specific band isn't realistic. Band support depends on your modem's hardware, not your choice of service.
