I attempted a 450w power supply onto an Optiplex 3020 using an i5-4590 and a PSU adapter, but it didn’t function properly. The motherboard kept flashing orange. A 750w PSU with an 80+ bronze rating worked fine. Could you guess why this happened and recommend a suitable PSU?

The working PSU was the one that powered without issues, while the others failed to function properly.

Model and make of the 450W PSU are specified. Certain units fail to connect properly with Dell adapters, which is common.
