Dear Community, I'm currently setting up a new NAS system and encountered an unusual issue. My 20TB WD Hard Drive (WD200EDGZ) isn't detected in the BIOS. Specifications: MB: Aorus B760I PRO DDR4 CPU: Intel i9 14900k RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-4000 2x16GB NVME: 1 TB Samsung 970 Evo HDD : WD 20TB PSU: beQuiet SFX-L 500W. I've already updated the BIOS to the latest version. Cables and ports are functioning correctly. The drive works in another PC and via an external adapter. All other drives spin up normally, but this one doesn't even attempt to start, as if it's missing a signal or something else. I'm a bit stuck with my knowledge now... Hope someone else has faced a similar problem and can help. Thanks! Best regards, Philipp

Check how the drive is linked. Is it a 3v3 setup? Consider using a Molex to SATA adapter to test compatibility.

Avoid reducing the 3.3V supply at the SATA power port or cover the 3.3V pins on the HDD SATA connector. Search for "PWDIS" to understand the reasoning behind it.

You may need to cover the third pin of the SATA power cable with tape.

It's working now with the Molex to SATA adapter! Thanks for your prompt reply! If I had arrived sooner, it would have saved me about four hours of troubleshooting. Best regards, Philipp

Use a tape over the 3.3V pins for extra safety. This issue occurs quite frequently, making it a common reason why the quick fix works best.
