I recently purchased that cooler and don’t remember the previous test outcomes. The temperature reading seems off, and I’m not sure if the Dell components are faulty. I don’t have any thermal paste to replace it, and the voltage components on the motherboard appear unrelated to a cooler. I plan to check the temperature once the PC starts up. I’m currently outside.
It remains consistent every time. The system reports 126 degrees both when I power on the PC and during testing. I’m unsure what’s causing the issue, but it seems there might be a problem with this motherboard. While playing games, I achieve 50 frames per second at 1080p resolution using a 3080 GPU. I purchased this GPU because I believed the issue stemmed from my older 1650 series card, and I’m conducting tests to identify the problem. In the game, the GPU usage is around 20% while the CPU is about 35%. This motherboard comes from a pre-built case, which tells me something about Dell’s approach. At least I wasn’t aware of it. They seem to design the boards in a way that makes upgrades difficult. The screws don’t match other cases, so I only used one screw and added cardboard to avoid short circuits. Perhaps the cardboard is contributing to the problem. I plan to remove the non-critical parts and see if that resolves the issue.
still same situation. 126-degree temperature. I’m not sure what’s happening. What should I do? Most people would say the cardboard is damaged, but only one screw fits the case, so I ended up using cardboard (it’s my new case). I could try another material to secure the motherboard, but I doubt this heat is enough. The CPU fan speed increases when I open the PC, and it takes about a minute to check anything. I’m not sure if this is the main issue because the cooler is very powerful—it can drop temperatures significantly even at low speeds. I didn’t mind that since the cooler helps lower the temperature. My Dell motherboard only monitors its own cooler and doesn’t show any other data. I tried selling the PC except the GPU, hoping to buy a new motherboard and CPU, but there are no buyers left. I need to fix this problem somehow.
