The shapes should align properly; checking the black component next to the chip shows the groove lines match, which might affect posting. Let me know if this helps. Thanks!

Maybe you could clarify the problem more clearly… which company made it wrong, who installed the CPU, is this a prebuilt unit, where can I find the thermal paste, etc. You might think it’s obvious, but it’s not really. In fact, the only thing that caught my attention right away was that a screw is missing!

Before they understood how to operate the retention arm, they removed it rather than unscrewing it. The direction shown in the first picture makes it seem very probable, right?
