hello everyone, i'm facing a serious issue and hope someone can help. i built my pc a while back with two ddr5 ram sticks and more than three months of use. one ram stopped working completely even though the rgb stayed on. after replacing it, the other ram failed within a week. now i've got new rams, but i'm worried about installing them. could this be a motherboard problem, a psu issue, or something else? please share your thoughts on my pc specs: cpu is core i7 14700k, gpu is 4070 ti, ram is ddr5 5600mhz with a 16x2 cooler, nzxt z73 motherboard, psu is 1000watt, and i'm considering the z690 maximus hero.

If the two sticks came from the same production run, it might indicate a single problem affecting both. Be aware of ongoing discussions about Gigabyte boards causing memory issues, which could be linked to this concern. This issue appears resolved in BIOS version F8 for your motherboard: and https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z79...rt-dl-bios

The current setup seems unstable with frequent stick breaks. Despite issues, the Corsair Dominator Titanium 6000MHz 32x2 is still working. I notice some electrical signals through the case ports, possibly from the GPU—could that be causing problems? It might be a short circuit or another issue.

I made recent changes to the bios, yet I remain hesitant about testing the new rams. It seems only one ram failed while the others worked perfectly. Could it be related to a short circuit or another issue?

It really does seem like a brief summary.

I experience the surge only when connecting the monitor, and it mainly appears on the GPU with minimal impact on the PC ports. There might be a solution to address this issue.

Take apart the enclosure and search for compressed wires. Ensure the insulation remains intact. Inspect the mounting points at the rear that feature screw holes and confirm no unintended contact in the back. Perform testing without using the front panel connectors. If the behavior shifts when front connectors are connected, further disassemble and examine for compressed wires.

Did you resolve it? I’m still facing the same problems with the same RAM model.
