I’ve verified that my school laptop is completely dead. It only lasts about ten minutes on a charge. Here are some pictures, just in case. Hope they don’t require me to pay for this mess IMG_1678.MOV

Are there any other issues with the laptop besides the battery? Would you like assistance repairing it? We'll need more details about the device.

Is it owned by an institution or organization? What is its age? What are its key features? Usually, such devices begin functioning reliably and only degrade over time.

You might be able to repair it yourself since you're paying for it. From what I understand, the issue is likely with the battery.

It's a Dell Latitude 3300, I've been using it for about three years now. It began functioning properly about a week and a half ago, but then things started to decline quickly.

It's odd, but if it's only three years old, I wouldn't expect the school to charge you for a damaged battery.

That's true, I don't have any money at the moment.

Contact your tech team—they’ll likely replace it with a new unit.

I thought about it but wondered if I’d need to pay upfront too. Now it’s happening in just a few minutes after turning it off, and it’s already stopped right after unplugging.
