TF2 Maining guide
This guide explains the recommended equipment for each character in Team Fortress 2. If you have different preferences, feel free to adjust. Scout works well with a Scattergun, Pistol, or Sandman setup. For those who favor the Scattergun more, a Pistol or Sandman loadout is ideal. Alternatively, a Force-A-Nature/Bonk! Atomic Punch/Sandman combo suits pushing through Heavy or Medic threats.
Soldier offers options like Rocket Launcher for long-range shots or Black Box/Buff Banner/Disciplinary Action for close encounters with Engineers and Snipers.
Pyro players should consider Flame Thrower, Flare Gun, Back Scratcher, or Powerjack.
For Spies, especially alongside Engineers, use Backburner, Detonator, Homewrecker, or Neon Annihilator. Demo teams benefit from Grenade Launcher, Tide Turner, or Bottle.
Heavy units should go with Minigun, Sandvich, Fists, Brass Beast, or Natascha/Sandvich/Fists of Steel.
Engineers can choose Frontier Justice, Rescue Ranger, Pistol, or Jag...?
Medic options include Syringe Gun, Overdose, Kritzkrieg, Quick-Fix, Ubersaw, or Vita-Saw (replace Kritz/Quick-Fix with Vaccinator if needed).
Sniper loadouts: Don't use the Sniper rifle. Good choices are Spy Revolver/Sapper/Knife, Big Earner/Dead Ringer (if headshots possible), or Ambassador/Sapper/Spy-cicle/Cloak and Dagger.
