i just installed a new pc and faced a problem with decenders, forza horizon 4, gta v, forza motorsport 7 and several other games. it seems like walls, cones, signs, and sometimes buildings are loading in front of me. while playing, my vram usage stays around 60% and i've enabled d.o cp (xmp) and dual channeling, but nothing works. this was a goal of mine and it's really frustrating to see it fail without any explanation. could someone help me? i'm really stuck.

your hdd is an SMR drive, and through the game it reads files while also performing micro writes on your hdd. since srm hdd struggles with writing, you might want to try installing a game on an ssd and check if loading and rendering textures remains slow.

check if the game runs on the HDD, if ram is in slots 2 and 4, whether the HDD has about 128mb cache, if the CPU temperature is high, which X570 ASUS motherboard model you own, and provide a detailed system overview.

It's a tuf gaming x570 plus with wifi. The cache size is around 256MB. Most games are stored on the hdd, one is on the ssd, and the temperature stays stable—never reaching 80c. RAM is set to A2, B2 (2 and 4).

I’m planning to install Forza on my SSD once I get back home, but I have a couple of questions. First, are there any better hard drives you recommend instead of my current one? Also, another thing to consider is whether my monitor might be the issue. It looks old, isn’t 4K, and runs at 75 Hz—my Dell SE2417HGX gaming monitor isn’t the best. 😁

a decent option at a lower cost right now is WD Purple and Seagate Skyhawk for capacities above 2TB (ensure the cache is 64mb; if it's 128MB or 256MB, it's confirmed to be SMR).

Would you suggest the firecuda 2tb cmr storage device? Since it's something a tech-savvy colleague could use, it might be a good fit.
