I just purchased a used HP 840 G2. When I turn it on, a message appears in the middle-top of the display saying "kapsch>>> V2". Do you know what this means?
Laptop is working great but this made me curious.
Thanks!

Did you carry out a complete reset of all storage devices and install a new operating system? If not, this should be your immediate action.
"kapsch" appears to be the name of an Austrian firm that focuses on traffic monitoring cameras and telematics solutions.

No, I did not. Please clarify how you plan to perform a complete wipe while ensuring Windows 10 remains installed.

Sounds like firmware. But for ANY used device 'new to you'...you really need to do a full wipe and reinstall. No telling what the previous users had in there. Yeah, I agree. I can't figure out how it gets there. I am wondering if I need to do something in addition to wiping / reinsatlling.

I received it through an online auction. The seller had a good rating and responded to all questions.

Based on the text you provided and online information about "kapsch", it seems you're inquiring about the possibility of viewing a screen capture. You can share an image by uploading it to imgur.com and include the link.
