Hi everyone, I’m planning to overclock my i5-6600k this weekend. Right now I’m using its game boost setting, which pushes it up to 4.1 from the stock speed. I was wondering what a suitable starting clock would be—something around 4.3 to 4.5 maybe. If I change the multiplier, do I also need to adjust the voltage? I’ve heard some people mention needing to change the RAM voltage in certain situations. Also, how long should I run stability tests for? Which tests are most effective? Can I just play a game to check performance instead of doing it manually? Thanks for your help!
If the processor is stable without extra voltage do not worry. get the intel burn test or prime 95 and let it run for at least 15 minutes. if you are doing the intel burn test allocate as much ram for the test as you can. If you can give it 15.5 out of 16 GB it will be a great test.

Ram voltages shouldn't be adjusted unless you're forcing the base clock, which can increase RAM speed. If your board uses auto voltage, attempt to set it to the minimum acceptable level while the chip maintains the required performance. Additional voltage only adds more heat.
