I chose to try Internet Explorer again, hoping before Microsoft releases a Spartan version. I’ll share my impressions here whenever I can or if I spot anything new. Please feel comfortable following.

Points to note:
- Performance scales poorly, especially on half the screen—watching one video while browsing another is tough
- Refreshing the page isn’t straightforward; you need to right-click the tab instead
- The icon for refreshing appears in the link box, which isn’t very user-friendly
- The interface runs smoothly, likely because of its simple design
- It’s noticeably quicker than Chrome, with websites loading almost instantly
- Support for extensions and add-ons is limited
- Navigating the history feature is quite challenging
- Scrolling feels smooth and pleasant
- Frequent annoying notifications pop up—like disabling add-ons to speed things up or making IE the default browser
- Bing seems really frustrating
- Minimized pages shrink when exiting fullscreen, which isn’t a major problem but worth noting

I’m curious if I posted this in the right place, but welcome any adjustments you might suggest.

It's clearly visible in the URL bar, that familiar curved arrow symbol...

I don’t have a way to create links from text in signatures, but I can help with that if you’d like. Also, your question seems a little unclear—could you clarify what you mean by a "noob question"?

Please select the text you'd like to link, then click the small chain with the green + sign below Text Size and paste your link into that space before confirming.

I relied on Internet Explorer as my primary browser until this January. There were no issues at all, and it performed exceptionally well.

Things that make me hesitate using IE and Office are the pop-ups. Every day in college, without admin access, I keep seeing "would you like to use recommended settings?" They just suggest changes without asking. I prefer IE because it runs smoother, though it doesn’t support HTML 5 well yet. It’s a big drawback for me.
