You're facing a common issue with setting up a Verizon router. The red symbol indicates the Wi-Fi is not connected. You don't need to move the router from its original spot—just connect it properly to your PC using an Ethernet cable. If you want to extend the connection, you can run a long Ethernet cable from the router to another device in your room and set up a local network there. Let me know if you need step-by-step guidance!

Great, just wanted to clarify what was happening. I'm new to PC building and entering the industry recently.

It seems you relocated the router from its initial spot. Do you own Verizon DSL or FIOS service? If it's DSL, it's probably a gateway (modem/router) and needs connection to a phone line. With FIOS, the router might be connected via coaxial or Ethernet from the ONT.
