I’m working with a G.Skill Flare X5 6000 CL36 that has EXPO turned on. The build reference is https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fpfDLs. I used MemTest64 via Task Manager and HWiNFO. Both TestMem5 and Task Manager stopped working. Later, an error popped up saying “System Error: Exception Processing Message 0xc0000005 - Unexpected parameters.” After about eight hours, no memory issues showed in MemTest64 despite the message. There was one instance where my whole screen went black. I’m not sure if that was a memory problem since I couldn’t see anything. Here’s the image: https://imgur.com/a/uVxXqMx

I also get pop-up errors when launching other programs, likely because CPU and RAM usage are near maximum. I’ve run several additional tests: 24 hours of HCI MemTest, four passes of MemTest86 (the paid version), three cycles each of TestMem5 Absolut, Extreme, and 1usmus (more cycles planned), one hour of OCCT memory stress tests, AIDA64 benchmarks, and 24 hours of Y-Cruncher stress tests covering all available options.

I tried 30 GB in Linpack Xtreme, which caused my SSD usage to spike to 100%. From what I understand from HCI MemTest, that might not be the best memory test. How should I run it now? I’m considering installing Linux to use GSAT and possibly buying Karhu.

Are there other memory stress tests or benchmarks I should try? So far, I’ve only encountered problems with MemTest64. Is this a software issue, or could my RAM or hardware be faulty? Could this indicate a failing motherboard, CPU, or another component?

Yes, the PC is functioning normally aside from that issue.

It seems the system is functioning normally now aside from the DRAM light being on. The main problem was booting without Power Down mode enabled, which I resolved by switching it back to Auto. Whether you can disable Power Down mode depends on your motherboard and BIOS settings—check your manual for guidance. It doesn’t appear to be a RAM or hardware issue unless you notice further symptoms.

I don’t have strong doubts, but if everything looks good, you can leave it as is.

It seems turning off Power Down mode stops RAM from lowering its voltage. Probably why it’s causing problems, but this should help performance. I’ll just have to wait for ASUS to update their BIOS since I couldn’t adjust it for the first two memory kits.

The processor you're using isn't optimized for the latest memory controller technology, which may affect performance.

Your system is running on a 7600 processor, and its CPU memory controller appears to be functioning properly.

I perform just one full pass of anta 777 Extreme for memory checks and a few trials on y Cruncher. If you succeed in passing all tests repeatedly, that’s good. Avoid making any changes on your PC while running memory tests, particularly not doing multiple tests at once.

Sure, that's clear. It has successfully completed three rounds of Anta777 Extreme and 24 hours of Y-Cruncher with all tests active. I didn't attempt to run two tests simultaneously; perhaps I misheard earlier. I'll make sure to steer clear of that in the future.
