But is this the very first one you should install? The screenshot shows ctrlv.sk/1KjU.

The HP support page includes an auto detect feature for your device (Detect my drivers button), but the AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver for Windows 10 v1703 GPU is the newest version. You must be updated to at least build 1703 of W10.

I'm running on Windows 10 version 21H2, that's all. I'm good.

Certainly, you should have been updating W10, so proceed to install the driver highlighted in green, as it is likely the final version for that older device. Remember to uninstall the previous one using DDU in safe mode and choose the driver device as instructed earlier. Did you remember the driver you installed and its release date during the Dx12 issues?

It's essentially the latest AMD driver. And issues with dx12 in F1 gameplay when using dx12 are occurring.

Are you referring to the issue you experienced with the Dx12 problems and the one highlighted in green above? If yes, have you checked temperatures at all, particularly GPU temperatures? If the laptop hasn’t been opened or cleaned for some time, that might be the cause. If you’re unsure, many laptop models have YouTube guides demonstrating disassembly steps. You should search for signs of dust blocking the CPU heatsink and fan, as well as the GPU heatsink and fan.

That said, even with a Dx12-compatible GPU, it might not be powerful enough to run all Dx12 titles smoothly. In such cases, choosing a Dx11 option would be preferable if available for the game.

I mean this about the driver I currently have is the latest from AMD, and I’m facing some issues with it. Not the ones you mentioned. One you pointed out I probably never used unless it was in a laptop when I bought it. I experienced some overheating problems, but it hasn’t caused big FPS drops—heat is only an issue in summer. For example, with F1 2020 there are two options: dx11 and dx12. Dx11 works fine, but when I run the same game on dx12, the FPS drops completely. I don’t think it’s due to insufficient GPU power from my brother’s R5 M400; he seems to handle it better. I’m not sure, but I’ll reinstall the driver tomorrow because it’s already 22:33 and I plan to update after that. I also cleaned the laptop about six months ago and added some thermal protection on the processor.

When dealing with heat issues, it's ideal to use a laptop cooling pad; they're affordable. The driver I mentioned is the most recent version, indicated by the date, so go ahead and install it.

Big update alert, my GPU now displays as r8 m445DX after some research into its dedicated integrated setup. I believe I had drivers for different GPUs but somehow managed to install them—though it was a bit shaky. I’m planning to test the game now. I’m a bit concerned because I reinstalled the driver twice, thinking I’d finished, and my PC crashed (blue screen). If this keeps happening, I’ll definitely let you know.

Running any game on dx12 will cause it to crash after about 30 seconds...
