You can prevent Windows from launching automatically by using system settings or third-party tools to disable startup entries. Consider adjusting the Task Manager startup options or employing a script to control initialization timing.

It might be an upcoming service or something already listed in the registry, but locating it can be challenging. Which application are you referring to?

It's an antivirus program, but I don't want it to run constantly. I've tried all usual methods to stop it, yet it keeps launching on my computer.

It’s going to be challenging since many of these devices use Windows, and turning them off might cause issues. Still, look into the Services area within Admin Tools—you should locate the relevant option, though certain antivirus programs (like Norton used to be known for this) may block disabling starting services.

That’s really confusing. Companies do it for reasons they usually don’t explain clearly. For the service section, you might need to ask someone who works there or look up the right page online. It’s okay if you’re not sure—just keep asking!

You might improve performance by increasing your RAM and CPU if you wish for quicker startup times.

That's the strategy, though funds are a bit tight so we'll proceed cautiously.

I mainly just want it set up so I can run scans, enable extra protection when needed, and turn it off afterward. I don’t really need antivirus while playing games or watching videos.
