Hello, friend recently had a build completed. Previously, an issue in the MSI software displayed a persistent red debug LED while the PC ran, despite normal CPU temperatures (35-45°C) shown by hwinfo or BIOS. I recommended updating the BIOS to the latest version. After the update, the LED problem disappeared but the AIO pump and case fans were spinning very fast—over 3000 RPM and around 1500 RPM respectively—which was excessively loud. The CPU was idling near 45°C with no stress bars, even under general Windows 11 applications. When I spoke to the system builder, he criticized me for updating the BIOS and suggested keeping the system off. He also asked me to take it to his store, as he couldn’t afford to shut it down long-term since it’s part of his retail business. I advised him to keep it running, noting that it’s important and warranty coverage would apply if something fails. While I can assist with tweaks, I need to understand what’s causing the problem before proceeding. Specs included: CPU 7800X3D, MSI B650 Gaming Plus, Wi-Fi AIO, Deepcool LS720 SE, RAM Trident Z5 RGB, TZ5RK GPU, MSI 4070 Ventus 3x PSU, Corsari RRM850e GPU, MSI 4070 Ventus 3x Cabinet, TUF GT502 case fans, LianLi ST120 RGB.

In the bios, you can adjust the fans and pump settings. In windows, you should also have options to tweak those components. I prefer the Fan Control feature.

They are managed by either an external controller or the motherboard, and the stock curves can be modified accordingly. This is typical for a standard 7800x3D model.

Stock curves adjustments aren't functioning properly. Auto mode was tested too, but the system keeps spinning at full RPM even when the fan curve is set for 50% speed at 50°C, while the CPU temperature is 45°C.

You verified the fans/pump settings are correct for either DC or PWM in the BIOS. Updated on December 26, 2023 by leclod
