Hi, I'm checking if upgrading my i7 4770k to 4.2GHz at 1.180V with XMP profiles is safe. I use the Hyper EVO 212 for cooling and keep temperatures around 37-40°C during idle. While playing BF1 I hit 72°C but mostly stay at 68°C. Others using Farcry 5 don't exceed 65°C max. Any thoughts?

Your temperatures are acceptable as long as they stay below 80-85.

Hi worstshire,
It looks like it's a bit warm but not risky. With that voltage and cooler, I'd think there'd be fewer thermals. How long has this PC been put together? Rodolphe.

When was the PC finally put together?

I was 2 years old and cleaned it two weeks ago using compressed air. My voltage under 1.180V means my OCP isn't stable.
