It seems TIM refers to thermal paste. I used the 5-dot method with medium dots. Could a spike be linked to thermal paste inside the CPU socket? I wouldn’t expect it, though, because I didn’t apply much paste, but it’s hard to rule it out completely.

Have you thought about reducing voltage settings? Did you check the task manager to find the responsible program? Have you performed a malware scan?

I’m new to this topic and unsure about checking system stability. The process feels complicated, but so far everything looks okay. The Task Manager appears normal, and all malware scans came back clean.

Using task Mgr, arrange by CPU load and observe when it rises. A spike will show which processes move to the top. Undervolting may require patience but helps lower power and heat. The process isn't overly complex. I tried it recently for the first time.

I'm facing a comparable problem with nearly identical components. I plan to share my specifications and detailed issue whenever possible. My setup includes a Ryzen 9 5900x (stock) running under overclocking for about 20 minutes without noticeable improvement. The GPU is an Asus Tuff 3080 with 2x 16G RAM from G.Skill (3200 MHz). The motherboard uses MPG B550 Gaming Carbon Lian Li 011 case, featuring Lian Li fans and Galahad AIO. There are 9 fans in total—pull fans on the bottom and side, while the AIO pushes air. I'm currently using a 10 Pro BIOS version dated August 10, 2022.

I’m experiencing high temperatures during both load and idle states. While checking temperatures recently, I received a warning last night due to stuttering in CS:GO. Opening HWinfo64 showed temperatures consistently above 90°C. After replacing the thermal paste, the issue persists—high temps still appear during gameplay and idle.

Idle temps hover between 65–75°C, which seems elevated for my setup. I’ve seen spikes up to 90°C, but they quickly rise again once activity resumes. This pattern is concerning. Could it be due to incorrect paste application or poor placement? I performed an X-pattern test and am considering reapplying the paste evenly.

Another concern: my AIO is nearing the end of its warranty (about 3 years). The system feels stable overall, but CPU temperatures spike sharply during intensive tasks. I’m monitoring Tsk Manager, yet no extreme spikes appear when temperatures rise.

Any advice or clarification would be invaluable. Please feel free to share any additional details if needed!
