I haven't ever changed the Corsair H100i v2 before. I simply left it in place with the retention clip. It stayed put without moving during the reinstall.

Approximately 45 to 50 idle cycles, unchanged prior to the CPU delay. Cores surpass 85 and hit 100 during Intel Burn Test.

I never removed it from the motherboard bracket. Delid the cap from the CPU if you want to take it out, but use a specialized tool. You seem to have replaced the Corsair pump with fresh paste. How long have you had the Corsair AIO unit for that PC?

I previously owned an H80i water cooler but became tired of the pump noise and excessive fan noise during high load, even after making adjustments. I’ve switched to air cooling now. My BeQuiet! Dark Rock 3 is performing better than my previous water cooler.

I resolved the CPU issue but didn't reattach the IHS to the die, which is what I intended.
