Temperatures on the Ryzen 5 3600 can rise during heavy use.
hello everyone... i’m really struggling here. the temperatures on my CPU are spiking, especially when idle or under load. it keeps fluctuating even when i set the fan to maximum speed. i changed from the stock cooler to the Cooler Master G100M, but that didn’t help at all. my specs are: a ryzen 5 3600, cooler master g100m, ram 1x8 gb at 3000 mhz, running on an asus tuf b450m plus gaming. you can check out the pictures for more details.
Your surrounding temperatures are essentially irrelevant here. Think of your room temperature around 22°C, your device running at about 31°C, and the CPU hovering between 29-33°C when idle. The fan settings are tuned to minimize noise while maintaining cool operation.
It's typical, I realized this myself unexpectedly. You'll notice your core cocks fluctuating naturally. Adjust your fan settings to be less aggressive and let the curves handle the spikes at lower temperatures—this works perfectly. As long as you keep loads within acceptable ranges, everything remains stable. This design helps the chips respond faster by keeping cores active rather than idling, reducing delay during spikes. Someone else might provide a more detailed technical explanation if they wish. This advice is valuable to keep in mind.
