I'm experiencing unusually high CPU temperatures recently. I realized it wasn't until two days ago. Around two to three weeks ago, my system started running slower. I often stutter during games and can no longer launch VR games without the whole PC crashing, which I think is due to overheating. My machine is a Ryzen 7 7700X. Previously, everything was fine until now. In BIOS it reads 56°C, while on desktop it averages 68-73°C, and spikes to 88-95°C during games. I turned off XMP settings, changed the thermal paste, and confirmed my AIO is secure. My friend has a nearly identical build—same parts list—and his PC is around 30°C on desktop and about 50°C in games. He suggests reinstalling Windows or replacing the AIO. I’m open to upgrading the AIO just in case, but I want to know what else might help without spending much. I saw a reliable Reddit thread suggesting ID cooling AIOs are problematic for CPU cooling, though I'm not sure. My PC was built about a year ago, and I keep it dusted—cleaning every two weeks because of cats. After changing the thermal paste, my CPU only reached 74°C briefly after boot, then jumped back to 90. It's still unclear what's causing the issue.

It seems your AIO isn't functioning correctly. The temperatures are too high for it to operate properly. I'd consider using an air cooler to check if the issue resolves, though I'd also recommend checking the AIO through the RMA process. Did you update or configure the 7700x in the BIOS settings? This adjustment helps control temperature and power usage, but its impact might be minimal if your AIO is already failing.

Could you confirm if the product is still available for return, or if it’s no longer offered? As for videos, look for tutorials on the manufacturer’s official site or reputable tech channels showing the RMA process.

It's worth noting that you have the option to receive the older revision, though I question its viability, or you can be provided with the latest model, which seems likely.

No, I didn't remove the plastic sticker from the cold plate.

I made the update successfully. My BIOS shows 113°C, and I can’t boot past it without the system shutting down. I’m trying to figure out a solution.
