Hi, welcome to your new PC setup! You’ve got a solid build with the Aorus Z490 motherboard, Redragon Cooler Tailgate, and an I7 10700K processor. At full speed, temperatures are hitting around 80°C (170°F) to 90°C (194°F), which is typical for high-performance builds in warm climates. It's quite intense. The design restricts airflow, which might not suit an Intel 8-core processor. Consider removing the front or side panels to check if temperatures drop. Not ideal, particularly around 90°C.

Thank you for your message. I removed both panels and the temperatures stayed consistent. When I turned on the air conditioning, the temperature dropped by about 10 degrees. Sorry for my unclear communication—what is CPU under voltage and how can I adjust it? One detail I missed that might matter: while setting up the cooler, I applied thermal paste, tightened the screws, and then removed them briefly (around 10 seconds). After putting the cooler back in without touching the paste, I wonder if I should have cleaned and reapplied it. Again, thank you for your help! (Apologies if my English isn’t clear)

Interesting, maybe a poor cooler mount could be the issue. I wouldn’t assume the cooler itself is bad, but the higher ambient temperature means you’ll need to manage heat better. Undervolting can help by reducing CPU voltage (adjust in BIOS) to cut down temps—just don’t go too low or you risk instability. Keep track of the original settings and test changes carefully.

Contrary to what some say online, the pressure from the cooler shouldn’t affect paste spreading much. The main concerns are thermal paste quality and proper mounting. Your English is clear!

I captured a screenshot... My friend assisted me throughout, so I have many images. Temperatures while idle range from 35 to 40... While playing Battlefront 2, 50 to 60 (70 to 80 only during loading). (1080p / high settings) – the only game I've played since building it, because my graphics card is still old.

The temperatures aren't bad, but the main concern is how your computer will actually perform. I might add a bit more paste to ensure full coverage of the IHS. Removing the cooler will help you see exactly what's covered and whether additional work is needed.

Lowering the voltage can improve performance and stability. As you decrease it, test your system to confirm it remains reliable. Avoid excessively low voltages; they may trigger a blue screen and cause the computer to restart. Adjusting settings through BIOS can significantly lower temperatures. For instance, with a 10850K processor, your current temperature is within normal range. You have an 8-core CPU, an air cooler, and a hot room—thermal paste seems fine. Note that some Gigabyte boards default to higher voltages; check HWiNFO for accurate VCore readings. Apply a workload to verify the changes.
