I've got a 7950X3D with ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360mm MX6 thermal paste as the exhaust setup. There are three 140mm intake fans front and another 140mm exhaust on the back. When I idle around 45-55°C, I notice temps jump to 89-90°C during gameplay and then drop to about 65°C for most sessions. Running a Cinebench CPU multi-core test gave me mid to high 80s. Is this typical for this chip?

That’s typical for that component. Make sure you installed the correct chipset driver for the 7950X3D to get the best performance.

I saved the AMD chipset driver from my motherboard support area on the first day.
