I've got a Ryzen 9 5900x with a Corsair H150i cooler. Recently, I've observed CPU temperatures hovering between 60-70°C during idle. Gaming doesn't cause spikes, but stress tests push temps up to about 85°C. I've undervolted the CPU, applied Ryzen Master per-core tuning, cleaned the system, and used Thermal Grizzley Kyronaut paste—still no change in temperatures. Are these readings normal considering typical loads?
The number 85 during a stress test isn’t a cause for worry. Keeping up with the constant Corsair AIO updates is tough. What’s the age of the H150i?

The system is running hot, which could mean the pump or cooler isn't working well, even if your stress temps seem manageable. Since your idle time is unusually high, it might be a background process affecting performance.
I also considered the pump/cooler, but the aio appears to be functioning properly. There are no air bubbles inside the pump, yet it's producing an unusual twisting sound. I'm uncertain if this noise has always existed or if it's a recent change since one of my older fans consistently ran at full speed without any control. For context, you mentioned that this kind of winding noise becomes more noticeable as the pump speed increases.
It’s hard to say if that sound means something’s wrong—it could be a moving part like an impeller in the pump. Having another cooler, even a new one, would help check the idle temperature. I believe the issue is with the idle reaching around 70°F, and it should stay in the low 40s during idle.
The issue is clear. I can reach those low temperatures only when I push everything to full speed. But the readings from hwinfo, Corsair ICUE, and Ryzen Master don’t always match—sometimes they’re off by a lot. Right now, during tests with fans at 100% speed, both ICUE and hwinfo report my CPU around 48-50°C, while Ryzen Master says it’s about 35°C.
CCD1 TDIE closely matches the findings ryzem is sharing, which is why it appears in Hwinfo... given how many monitoring systems I'm using, I’d prefer sticking with what RM says.
