Hello, your setup shows a CPU temperature jump to 80 during loading in Apex Legends, but drops to 55-65°C while playing afterward. This behavior seems unusual and might indicate overheating or thermal throttling. The fact that it only occurs when you click the game suggests a possible sensitivity to startup or load events. Make sure your cooler is functioning properly and consider checking for dust buildup or fan issues.

Apex handles the load well, especially once the shader compiles. XFR is designed to enhance performance under light conditions, pushing the cooler limits to complete tasks more quickly.

A new install often rebuilds the shader cache a few times, causing brief slowdowns or reduced performance until it stabilizes. Watch for any unusual behavior from temperatures, but overall it should work fine. Enjoy your game!

It appears the issue only shows up when loading into the Apex Legend menu, but once inside the game it jumps to 55-65c throughout.

It occurs solely during the initial menu setup upon launching the game, not during active gameplay. This happens consistently each time.

your game runs at 300fps in the settings menu. you can cap it using the steam command "+fps_max 240" for instance, or try rivatuner (included with msi afterburner) to restrict frames if the in-game limiter isn't sufficient (just remember to set +fps_max 0 and let riva handle it instead).

It only occurs when I click the apex icon, after which it loads into the game. At that moment it reaches 75-80c, but once I reach the main menu it drops to 55c and stays there. The actual in-game spike temperatures are between 55-65c, which seems acceptable to me.

It seems your CPU isn't functioning as a GPU. Let me know how I can assist further.

I understand you were referring to menus instead of file loading. That seems quite typical. I’m sure it’s fine as is. Apex keeps its front-end UI separate from the game client, which means more data is loaded at once.

When the CPU is under 96C, it's okay. A spike simply means the CPU is working.
