System: Ryzen 5 3600-b450m s2-msı 3060 – Issue: I’ve observed that while playing games, my CPU temperature rises from 59-60 to 67-68 and then gradually drops back to 60. This pattern hasn’t happened before. Recently, the room temperature has increased to around 25°C, especially since my apartment is on a higher floor, making it even warmer due to poor insulation. My question is: does this fluctuation occur only during gaming? What other factors might be responsible? I tested Prime95 and temperatures stayed between 76-77, which is typical. The system idles at about 40°C. Normally I’m okay with the CPU reaching over 70°C during games, but the up-and-down changes feel unusual. I’m pretty sure this isn’t caused by spikes from PBO.

Still 100% normal operating range of temps so I wouldn't worry about it honestly unless it was reaching unsafe temps.

Seems typical, you're observing increased system temperatures while ambient conditions rise. It looks like the air is pulling in warmer air to offset hot components, but I'd wait for the weather shift and cooler ambient temps before making a comparison.

The sudden rise in temperatures while gaming could be due to hardware overheating or poor airflow.

This has never happened before. It seems to have begun recently.

It might also involve thermal paste or similar substances. Windows could be utilizing the CPU unexpectedly, and the temperatures remain within acceptable ranges.

Could this be connected to the fan curve? I think it's not using windows randomly because it hasn't tried this before.

No, I haven't adjusted any settings recently. I don't have a custom fan curve configured.
