Temperature remains high even when idle.
Ryzen 5 3600x stock configurations Gigabyte A320m sh-2 latest BIOS Here are the issues: I power on the PC → idle temperature reaches 45°C → when watching videos or tasks it jumps to 65°C+ → I stop all tasks but the temperature stays high. Once it hits 65°C+, it doesn’t lower even when idle. I switched the power plan and reduced processor power rate to 5% but it still doesn’t work. All other settings like core clocks, temperatures, and fan speeds are normal. It helps! https://imgur.com/a/B6SEnjw
YW. OK 77c is a great temperature reading—no cause for concern. The CPU cooler is just handling a higher temperature difference, so it will remain warmer during idle, though the rise with a full load test is small. As you mentioned before. Ideally, tweak the fan curve in BIOS or via the software you installed. A more aggressive idle setting might help.
I believe adjusting the fan speed when CPU usage is low would have resolved this problem. It seems you don't need to purchase a new cooler for it.
