Good day. My PC has been running smoothly for about two years now, but recently when I power it on from cold, the CPU temperature stays high at around 95°C on the monitor. Even after throttling to 500MHz, the fan noise is loud and the airflow feels weak, and it keeps rising to over 110°C before shutting down. When I return to BIOS, the readings match, and within 30 seconds Windows cools down to a normal idle range of 25-30°C. The issue seems linked to old thermal paste or a faulty temperature sensor. The specs are: Ryzen 5 2600, Cooler Master ML120L AIO GTX 1080, Gigabyte 450M DS3H.
You can look inside the BIOS to verify the pump in the aio is functioning. If it works, proceed by re-seating the cooler and applying new thermal paste.
The pump stopped working completely. It seems like if you checked the hoses close to it, they’d be noticeably warm or cold near the heater.
The pump sound may indicate an air bubble within it. Check how your radiator is set relative to the pump.
