I built my own PC and I'm unsure if the heatsink is fitting properly or if it's just normal for temperatures to rise during certain tasks. With PBO enabled, I usually see ambient temps between 26-30°C. When I render or run cbr, it stays around 80-85°C, but gaming keeps it lower, about 70°C. My setup includes an Intel i7-12700K (specs vary slightly), UHD 1200, Wi-Fi 6E, and a 6900XT 850W GPU.

Track the frequency to assess cooling efficiency. PBO maintains 75-85°C during full load, modifying frequency and voltage to sustain the desired temperature. When frequency appears optimal, cooling performance is confirmed.

Checking the temperatures at that frequency helps ensure comfort. It looks like it should be okay.

Varies by program. It can reach full capacity, but load levels differ—Cinebench R23 might show 4.5–4.7, while prime95 could be around 3.8–4.0.

It's normal for your Ryzen 5 3600 to hit 86°C during Cinebench stress tests with an FX-8370 cooler.

It's on CBR20 and CBR23, but I didn't reach 4.6GHz across all cores in any program.

It seems like the temperature is within an acceptable range for your setup. It depends on the surrounding conditions. No need to be concerned.

I've noticed how PBO limits can affect timing across various tests. It seems unlikely your chip won't hit 4.6 all-core with stock PBO, even on a custom loop. The higher core count and heat from the 5900x likely cause it to run slower than the 5600x.

I'll adjust this then. Updating the details now. Current conditions are about 26-30°C, occasionally reaching 32°C—definitely a warm place.
