Hi, the CPU you purchased yesterday installed fine after a couple attempts. The idle temperature is around 25°C, but it spikes to 70–80°C under load. You might want to reapply thermal paste to ensure optimal cooling performance.

It's typical for a stock cooler to behave this way. I've used a 10400F with a stock cooler before and got comparable temperatures. Switching to a Hyper 212 improved performance—now it stays around 70 under load and runs much quieter.

The sound is quite loud. Also, is it typical to achieve full capacity?

25c idle temperature? That's impressive, I can't help but feel envious. My 5900X runs between 38°C and 42°C and delivers 86°C when PBO is on. It seems your i5 is handling it just fine, as others mentioned. High utilization during gaming often indicates the CPU is lagging behind the GPU.

in the game it's usually around 50-70%, yet installing a large app makes it reach 100%.

I don't think seeing 100% usage often is a major issue. If it's the only time reaching full capacity, I wouldn't be too concerned—unless it causes overheating and stops functioning properly.
