Absolutely, that makes sense. I’m just puzzled why idle temperatures match full-load readings. It probably just is how it works.

It never really reached 85°C. I don’t recall ever going above 75°C while gaming with the iGPU. I’ve attached photos showing various scenarios tracked in Core Temperatures—first when launching Batman Arkam Knight, second during Cinebench R23 Multi-core, and third with no background apps running. It seems the iGPU might be contributing a bit more cooling, which helps keep my CPU from overheating. Thanks for clarifying.

It never really reached 85°C. I don’t recall ever going above 75°C while gaming with the iGPU. I’ve attached photos showing various scenarios tracked in Core Temperatures—first when launching Batman Arkam Knight, second during Cinebench R23 Multi-core, and third with no background apps running. It seems the iGPU might be contributing a bit more cooling, which helps keep my CPU from overheating. Thanks for clarifying.

PBO status isn't clear from my observations on Zen 3. It seems lower frequencies appear less effective compared to what you'd expect without it. Check the BIOS settings to confirm if PBO is turned on, as enabling it might improve performance. However, given limited experience with APUs, it's possible they don't reach high speeds naturally, which could be normal.

Good news! It ran smoothly on Auto, and I've just turned it on. Temperatures and power usage stayed consistent before and after. The peak frequency in Cinebench multi-core test is about 4500MHz across all cores, and my score improved slightly in the multi-core run. Idle max temperature is 40°C, with a peak of 69.2°C during multi-core testing.

Using the Noctua NH9L in a full mesh case at 22°C ambient, with just one rear fan, I’ve noticed temperatures around 58°C (136°F). CPU usage stays low at 9% and idle temps hover between 41-58°C. With two M.2 drives running cool, the system handles load efficiently without excessive heat. The BIOS curve seems optimal for stable performance; Ryzen manages temperature spikes by throttling once thresholds are reached. Running a cooler rated for 105W could shave 5-10°C off idle temps, but it’s not essential at this point. A 5700G is rated at 65W, though it may spike to 88W under heavy load. Attached image included.
