Recently, someone using my Toshiba Chromebook 2 suddenly speeds up unexpectedly, regardless of workload. I tested with two CPU monitoring tools and got the following results: one displayed +5°C, the other showed no temperature data at all. One app reported full utilization on both cores, while the other provided no data for dual-core processing. It seems the issue isn’t software or hardware in the usual sense—I might just need to reapply thermal grease, but there’s something else going on. Appreciate any advice you can offer.

It seems the issue might be with the sensors or software compatibility. Would you like me to verify the temperatures in the BIOS?
