Hey there, you're facing a common issue with high-speed connections. It seems your setup is hitting a 1 gig bottleneck right at the WAN interface, even when using the best method. To unlock the full potential of your 2.5 Gb and 1.5 Gb speeds, consider checking your cabling, modem compatibility, or exploring a higher-capacity SFP module. If you're still stuck, a fiber-to-the-home upgrade might be the solution. Let me know what you find!

In short, your internet link starts through an SFP cable into your home and consistently displays a 1Gbps speed regardless of the device you use.

Have you adjusted the interface speed in UDMP manually to 2.5G? It can be tricky with SFP+ connections and the firmware you use; some users find the 1.80 rc works better than the stable release.

The Dream Machine claims 10Gbps speeds, but 2.5 and 5 Gbps are newer standards. Not every device supporting 10Gbps will work at those lower rates.

It's a 1.5 gigabit Fiber link from Telus via their SFP connection, usable in either the WAN2 port on the Dream Machine Pro or their Optic TV Wi-Fi router. I haven't noticed any performance improvements beyond what was expected. This suggests strong technical support and customer service, though I'm still figuring out my next steps before addressing the wall. Jordan

The only choices for SFP+ port 10 on the DMP are 1000 or 10000. Can this port be set to 2.5G? I’m not sure if the SFP is suitable for that speed. The model number appears to be G-01B-A, but the text is very small—I might have misread it. He mentioned it was a Cisco device. I’m using the 1.80 release that was released last night.

That's exactly what I mentioned in my comment. 2.5 and 5 Gbps represent the latest technology. Few devices are compatible with this standard, so unless your gear does, you won't be able to use it.

That's exactly how I interpreted your reply. I'm at least aware that some experts manage these systems, and it seems unlikely anyone would reach 1.5GB without an SFP+ connection. Thanks for clarifying, Jordan.
