I prioritize smooth performance above all else, so I typically reduce the settings only when necessary until I achieve a consistent 60 FPS at 1080p.
I don't possess that equipment; it's the ideal setup I'd like to have. In fact, I didn't have it before. I'm a dedicated CS:GO gamer and reaching 200 fps at 1440p is definitely achievable.
Getting high scores and averaging are distinct concepts. I sometimes see wild FPS numbers right from the start screen. But once things get tough, performance drops. With CS:GO, it’s not surprising—it looks similar to Mario, though perhaps on an older console.

Opt for the lowest settings to get the highest FPS. I usually aim above 120fps regardless of the game. Occasionally I reduce resolution and boost anti-aliasing for better performance. Off topic though—are you the Tesseract who used to be in Boxr? I don’t really like them, but I played a few with the Tesseract in that clan and he was a nice person.
