Nix distributions require significantly less overhead compared to Windows. This explains why many servers use Nix, except for the high cost of Windows Server's Win 10 edition, which is around $850.

It seems puzzling why this matters. Each game offers unique advantages, whether it's Linux or Windows. The idea of one having less influence feels trivial at best.

It seems quite remarkable. I’m aware that AMD Linux provides higher FPS, but I didn’t consider latency, which makes this interesting. I thought it worth mentioning.

Servers remain stable with windows thanks to the widespread use of the LAMP stack in the 1990s. Many appreciate the benefits of open-source, affordable hosting options. This trend persists today, even though LAMP isn't as dominant now. Apache and tools like Docker also perform better on Linux systems.

Collection of languages such as C on Linux versus Windows, plus some original thoughts. Curious about Tekken's fullscreen exclusivity on Windows—I've heard many games skip this to reduce latency.

Compiling large projects such as Chromium browsers requires significant time, which is why developers rely on makefiles and file watchers along with hotreload when possible. Have you ever wondered how long it took me to build Unreal Engine 5 on a 16-core processor?
