Hello Everyone I’m new here but really need some advice and tips. i have a RYZEN 9 7900X3D processor, with a Motherboard Gigabyte X670 Gaming AX X V1.0 with a RTX 3060 12 GB LHR. 64 GB RAM DDR5 4800M/Ts last night I was doing a windows update on the computer the latest Windows I believe / As well as installing some AMD chipset Drivers. AMD Adrenalin drivers also. whilst installing the drivers, my computer had blue screen of death and the error stop code being HyperVisor. I googled it and it’s to do with HyperVirtualMachine. Which I haven’t used or got since it’s a personal gaming PC. i had to manually shut down the computer via the power switch since the computer froze and didn’t reboot. since then, I thought it would boot up, and it didn’t. At first it went from CPU > DRAM, and Froze on those LED’s. But now, it’s constantly stuck on the CPU LED. all fans are spinning. All LEDs are working apart from the CPU LED VIA MY AIO, which is constantly flashing red (could be because I set it up like then when using the Corsair AIO software.) however, since all of that, I have removed all ram sticks, removed and reseated the CPU, removed the CMOS Bat and Reseated after 15mjnutes and u still I have no post. I have attempted BIOS flashback, and it seems to work, but still no change on the CPU LED changing to DRAM, done this with no sticks and now I’m at a loss. I don’t wanna purchase another AM5 CPU, since I don’t have the funds and potentially for it to not get returned, because the seal is broken, since it may not be the issue. All of this after a BSOD. Is crazy to me. Any tips or help would be great.

The hypervisor handles many security functions in Windows 11, making it essential to rely on it. It combines work between the CPU and motherboard—most of the processing is on the CPU, while the motherboard manages features like PCI passthrough and IOMMU. Reset the CMOS. Try one RAM stick at a time in slot A2. If it still fails to boot, the issue is likely with the CPU or motherboard.

Thank you for your feedback. I tried without any RAM sticks, CPU, or GPU, and the BIOS flashback worked properly after use. However, when trying to install a stick in the A2 slot and booting with CPU, it keeps getting stuck on the CPU LED. It might be a motherboard or BIOS problem. I’ve contacted AMD for a replacement CPU and reached out to Gigabyte for a possible return, but they’re only offering eSupport which I find insufficient. I’ve also tried the advice you gave, but nothing has resolved the issue.
