My take on the Windows 10 live event is as follows:
The Windows 10 hologram headset closely surpasses the Oculus Rift, offering a fresh perspective on future tech interaction within the next couple of years. While it isn’t a groundbreaking leap, proper integration with essential features could make it quite compelling.
The desktop setup stands out significantly compared to Windows 8, blending the strengths of Windows 7 with additional modern capabilities—same kernel across all platforms. Goodbye for Windows RT.
Windows 10 is free for users on Windows 7 and beyond. The move toward Xbox One is a notable shift, whether positive or not.
For laptops and tablets, Windows 10 offers a balanced experience, supporting hybrid devices with tablet and desktop modes. This flexibility is something I personally appreciate, as tablets were once just large phones with limited functionality.
I found my old Android or iOS tablet useful mainly for remote desktop access to a full desktop environment—something I hadn’t realized before.
Overall, it was a decent event. We should keep an eye on what Apple brings next, especially since it’s likely another polished product or a rebranded version of existing tech.
Let’s hope Apple delivers something truly original instead of chasing the latest display trends.

My friend received the technical preview on his laptop and found it quite appealing. He mentioned several bugs, but he believes they will be fixed before the official release. From my perspective, Windows 8 was a positive move, though it wasn't fully there yet. I believe Windows 10 will be a much-needed upgrade over Windows 8, and I'm eagerly anticipating it in the future!

DX 12 offers a potential fix for Ubisoft's issues with excessive draw calls in Assassin's Creed Unity. The demo showcased 100,000 more draw calls and achieved double the frame rate.

Stop using color formatting on fonts, guys. It’s hard to read with the black theme. Please, click edit, select all your text and click the arrow icon at the top row, second from the left.

Usually around five months, that's what the person mentioned many times when discussing when the features would appear in test versions.

Did you write it somewhere else and copy-pasta it? As it copies it with formatting. Just click Edit, then select all text and click ereaser icon. I see you fixed it now Thx. To the topic: i really like the Win 10 itself and I will be tempted to upgrade to it, as I skipped the Win 8 shnanigans. Also the Holo tech looks amazing. The live demo was really nice, but as you could see, they had a 3D printed model, so it still could be just pre-recorded stuff, and she was just being posted what to do and when, so it looked real. But I seen reports from Wired, that it works as in those demo videos, so YAY.
