One of the first problems I faced when launching the Widows 10 preview for regular use was with AMD drivers. They initially functioned, but the Catalyst Control Center wasn<|pad|>. I explored all possible solutions. As many AMD users are aware, particularly those using Linux, the default HDMI setting is around 15% underscan, which creates a black border until CCC is enabled. Why? Because AMD seems to be behind the scenes. To help, I created a registry adjustment for AMD card owners. You’ll need to try this change before proceeding. Open regedit, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video, and inspect the bracketed numbers. Some entries have folders labeled “0000”, others like “0001”. Click on “0000” and select the one with extensive settings, such as “Catalyst_Version”. The number inside should match your system’s value. Update the bracketed part accordingly and save the file as a .reg. Restart your system. Following this setup should resolve the underscan issue and restore full color accuracy. The display resolution remains 1920x1080. If you find this solution useful, consider sharing your feedback. -Jake

This applies specifically to HDMI. Your DVI setup isn't affected.

I don't think DVI will face this problem. Underscan/overscan in HDMI is meant for TVs, which explains why it's set to turn on automatically. Most people connect it to a monitor more frequently.

You're doing great, just writing the ISO to a USB is a solid step toward installation.

I make a txt file, enter the correct info and change the key, save it as .reg and try to run it. It gives an error saying it's not a registry file when I try to run the file or import from registry editor. Any ideas?

No extensions for recognized file types are turned off. It could be a file.reg.txt—make sure you're not omitting any characters.

It's the right format, but it transforms the icon into a reg file. It doesn't display that issue when I execute it.

Try this version: Check it out now. It needs some tweaks. Feels a bit odd.

Discovered the reason for Unicode in Notepad. Should be ANSI reference link provided.

Absolutely, I appreciate the situation. I processed your file using my credentials, and everything appears to be working well. Thanks for reaching out—I've been searching online for a solution, and it seems others on the AMD forums are facing the same problem.
