Technical Issues
My computer has been showing blue screens occasionally, and I've also encountered errors while playing Overwatch. The developers suggested a hardware issue, which is what I'm trying to figure out now. I thought it might be due to a failed Windows installation, but I want to confirm that first. I've tried standard fixes like the system file checker and Windows memory diagnostic. When I ran the memory test, it stayed running for hours and reported a hardware problem, but after restarting, no details came through. The event viewer showed nothing related to memory, though I noticed a lot of errors and a few critical ones. I don’t understand what’s happening or how to fix it. If you need any help, please let me know! *Edit* - Lmao, forgot the specs: CPU 12th gen Intel Core i9-12900k, 64GB RAM (2x32), G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB Series DDR5 5600. You can check the product page here: [link]. I also have an ASUS ROG Strix Z690-E motherboard, MSI RTX 3090 graphics, and a Samsung 980 PRO SSD. The power supply is an ASUS Rog Thor 1200W Platinum, and I’m using Corsair Obsidian 500D case with an iCUE H150i Elite Capellix. Also, the last blue screen appeared randomly when my PC was idle, showing "INTERUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED." Updated June 28, 2022 by InkyLinky

I'm not very impressed with G.Skill, though most people seem fine with them. In this situation, it might be your concern because the memtest detected an unidentified hardware error that didn't finish properly. I'd begin by taking out the RAM and rerunning the test with just one stick to see if the issue stays on one unit.
I removed one of the sticks and started the extended memory diagnostic Edit*. So far there have been no issues, unlike previous attempts where errors appeared right away. Currently it’s finishing at around 10% and 21% of the test 1 out of 2, taking about 5 minutes. In edit 2 it switched to the standard test and is now progressing again. No errors detected yet.
The goal is to check if the issue can be repeated using just one stick, indicating a possible defect in that item. Method of deduction.
You’ve completed the test on the other RAM stick and it worked fine. Now what? GPU issues might be the next step—especially with temps hovering between 40-60°C. And thanks for catching that early!
I don't have the afterburner software installed, didn't realize it existed. Should I download it? Uncertain if it's worth using. Idk if it's necessary. I searched for drivers and downloaded as many as possible for my motherboard GPU, but none worked. Could be connected to this issue...
