Technical Inquiries About RAM
I own a 8GB CL16 RAM stick at 2666MHz, which is the top speed my Asus Prime X370-Pro board supports. I’m considering adding another stick and discovered Hyperx’s new RGB models. Does switching to a different RAM type with the same specs still work? Here are the links to the products: https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-2666MHz-De...B07WHF6YDL and https://www.amazon.in/Kingston-Technolog...B06XNRXCV6
Occasionally it functions adequately but isn't always the best choice; at other times it may fail completely. Unfortunately, you need to test it yourself to confirm its performance. Using RAM with identical specifications is a good beginning, but if you can avoid purchasing a new unit and handling the old one, aim to locate a stick that matches the exact manufacturer and model details—specifically latency and sub timing. That’s what I’d do if I were simply adding one stick to my setup. However, even then it remains uncertain whether it will succeed.
