Hey! A few months back my Zephyrus GX531GW stopped working while I was using it. I sent it to ASUS for help, but they suggested replacing the whole motherboard, which would be more expensive than buying a brand new laptop. Since my warranty had expired two weeks earlier, that wasn’t an option. I then took it to a repair shop, where they replaced the motherboard twice but kept finding other issues. The second fix worked only briefly—laptop booted into BIOS at the shop, I brought it home, plugged it in, and saw just a flashing LED. They tried again a third time, but couldn’t fix it completely. Now the laptop starts but the keyboard is red, screen stays dark, fans spin nonstop, and it restarts every 30 seconds. They told me without the full motherboard schematics, they can’t do much more than this. I’m hoping someone has these diagrams that could help at the shop. I really want to keep using it for college, so I’m looking for any way to salvage it. Thanks for your help!

Any changes made to the mobile device will likely only provide a temporary solution.

Companies don't share PCB diagrams (they shouldn't but they don't) and when they do, it's not for the public. Hope you're prepared since you'll need it.

They should, but we understand the reasons they don’t release them. Unfortunately, motherboard upgrades aren’t lasting fixes. I shared this because I found someone linking another Zephyrus schematics, though it wasn’t mine. The odds are low, but I’m giving it a shot. In the meantime, I’m considering what laptop to purchase if I have to move away from this Zephyrus.
