Tech problem: Games freeze after installing a new GPU (Radeon RX 580).
I recently installed a new graphics card, the Radeon RX 580. I switched from my previous GPU, the GTX 1650, because it ran better. Since then, games in Roblox have started freezing or crashing after a short playtime. I’ve noticed this even when I plug in USB devices unexpectedly. My power supply is 500 Watts, and I haven’t experienced any problems since the upgrade. I updated the drivers and flashed the BIOS, but the issue persists. When I accidentally disconnect a connection mid-game, the game pauses briefly. The main problem seems to be random freezes, crashes, or sessions that stop after just a few minutes. My monitor would turn black and then restart. I also observed my GPU getting quite hot—around 80-90°C—and it still crashes games even when cooled down. It actually runs Roblox faster than my old GPU. Below are the stats from a three-minute Roblox session.
Have you considered modifying the settings in the Adrenaline app? I attempted to use it, but it didn’t function properly for me.
