This comes from a quick search online; surprisingly, creating an application-specific card can surpass everything else in that particular software. If only the cryptocurrency sector had known this... well, it’s true. It outperforms Nvidia’s A100 in large language models but falls short in other AI areas. The key here is innovation itself, not just functionality. Hopefully, the AI ASIC market expands rapidly again, pushing Nvidia back to GPU development for different purposes—almost like a new crypto boom returning.
The assessment seems questionable. It lacks consistency, and the others might face comparable scaling challenges. I saw in the initial chart that the second most affordable LPU comes from Perplexity.
